Saxgourmet Category Five

Steve:
I just came into a little inheritance money and am considering one of your Category Five tenors. Here's a few questions:

1) Why no rolled tone holes like the Voodoo Rex?
2) Will there be an alto version?
3) What is the "real" price if I am a cash buyer?
4) How long for delivery?
5) I know you said every production run has been a little different. What if any changes are planned for the future editions of this model?

Thanks.....I'll be in touch when the check clears!

(1) the next run will have rolled tone holes
(2) there will be an alto version late this summer
(3) Tenor is $13,000 FOB New Orleans....that's the price, and there's a waiting list at that price.....alto version will be about the same
(4) The current waiting list is around 120 days or so
(5) The bell is being changed (different taper and a bit larger), there will be a couple of mechanism tweaks

Don't believe what you may have read on SOTW: none of those guys have seen one, much less played one.....of course, this never stops them from sharing their "expert" opinions!

It's a shame you have to inherit money to afford one of these!

Well, Bob, you need to increase your inheritance. The price on the next run will be $15,000. Yes, we will have an alto version later in this year.
